The dishes at Lilu have been inspired by a range of influences. The most important is the legacy of our owner Pratik's mum. Her recipes form the backbone of Lilu's menu. To this we add a dash of research, both in India and beyond, and the expertise of our Head Chef JP, whose years of experience and passionate love of Indian food really shines through.
The recipe development period takes a long time and is never really finished. We continuously refine our recipes, which is why a visit to Lilu is #notjustacurry, it's a chance to take part in a journey. Our dishes are a living, breathing experiment in Indian cuisine.
But all of this hard work means we are proud of our food and we want to share it. We love it when a visit to Lilu inspires our guests to experiment with cooking the dishes at home.
If this is something you would like to try, just let us know. We are always happy to share our recipes and our kitchen tips and tricks so that you can make the dishes yourself! All we ask is that you share some photos of the results so we can see how you got on!
